Managing Director - Wayne Simmons 

Having commenced working in the food and beverage industries more than 30 years ago, Wayne made the transition from employee to business owner in 2010.  

With qualifications in management, and food and wine marketing, he is very hands on with the day to day running of HQ2 and is also responsible for sales and marketing.

Wayne has travelled extensively both domestically and internationally building long standing relationships with a large network of suppliers, customers and relevant industry references.

Extremely proud of his team's expertise, commitment and resulting achievements, he is very passionate about the industry and the role HQ2 will play into the future.

Technical Manager - Julie Compton
Julie is responsible for HQ2's quality assurance, product safety and drives our research and development program.

She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with majors in Food Technology and Biotechnology.

Julie is passionate about food safety and quality.  She thrives on challenges and providing solutions to our business needs and those of our customers.

She is creative, with a proven track record in new product introduction, improving product, process and people.

Prior to joining HQ2 in 2011, Julie had worked with some of Australia's leading processors and retail manufacturers in key positions such as, Quality Manager, Research and Development Manager and Production Manager.




Laboratory - Our qualified Laboratory Technician has a key role in our product testing and quality control, and supports in the research and development program.

Logistics - Our Logistics Manager ensures that we have the materials available to make the products and that orders reach our customers when required.


HR / Health & Safety - Our HR and OHS functions are undertaken by staff qualified in this area.  We are extremely committed to the development of our team and to providing a workplace that is safe for our staff and others attending the facility.  

Production - With almost 30 years of experience in food and beverage manufacture and fruit and vegetable processing, our Senior Production Supervisor heads up the Production team.

Our Process Operators recognise that they are the front line in quality control and have responsibility for the safety and quality of our product through compliance with our Quality System and good manufacturing practises.

We aim for a minimum qualification of Certificate III in Food Processing for production staff, with most having completed Certificate IV.

The Production Supervisors handle receivals and despatch and also work closely with the Logistics Manager for stock control and production planning.
